conceptive-judaism

Conceptive Judaism, which is registered in Ghana, is the worship of the one and only G-d through the concept of Orthodox Judaism.

We affirm our alignment with the majority of the Halachic principles of Orthodox Judaism, while acknowledging a limited number of defined areas where our interpretation and practice differ.

1. MARRIAGE We recognize and uphold the Torah-based position that a man may marry more than one wife, provided he possesses the emotional maturity and financial capacity to sustain and care for such a household. This practice is considered acceptable within our community only when it does not violate the civil laws of the country in which a member resides. Accordingly: A man who intends to marry multiple wives must not enter into a government registered ordinance marriage, as the performance of such a marriage legally prohibits the registration of additional spouses thereafter. Members who have already contracted marriages with non-Jewish women shall not be compelled to seek divorce. However, such members are required to: Encourage their wives to observe the Noachide Laws as outlined in Genesis, and Ensure that their children are raised within the Jewish identity, faith, and heritage. Furthermore, the husband bears the responsibility to educate his wife on Jewish dietary law, specifically distinguishing between permissible (kosher-aligned) and impermissible foods, in order to maintain the spiritual integrity of the household in accordance with Torah principles.

2. AGRICULTURE & FARMING We endorse organic and sustainable farming as a responsible, healthy, and environmentally conscious means of crop cultivation and animal husbandry. Therefore, we: Encourage members to grow their own crops and raise livestock organically for personal and family sustenance, Support the establishment of Torah-observant farming communities, where agricultural practice may reflect the scriptural teachings and values pertaining to stewardship of the land.

3. CIVIC PARTICIPATION & ELECTIONS In accordance with Jeremiah 29:7, which instructs the Jewish diaspora to seek the peace and prosperity of the lands in which they dwell, we hold that democratic elections form part of the civic process of appointing responsible leadership. As such, we: Encourage our community members to participate in national elections through voting, and Advocate for the selection of leaders who will foster peace, stability, and economic and social well-being in the societies where our members live.

4. GENERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT We promote: Self-sufficiency, compassion, and communal responsibility, including support for the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable, without discrimination, Faith in the One Almighty Creator of the universe, as revealed in the Hebrew Scriptures (Tanakh), Adherence to Torah-based moral and spiritual principles, while rejecting doctrines inconsistent with biblical monotheism.
